Posting ALL acceptable scores is a requirement to be a member of the SCGA and/or USGA.

The Handicap Chairman certification program that I attend (8 hours and a 100 question quiz), gives me the training and tools to make the appropriate handicap adjustments when necessary, to those showing signs of "sandbagging" or having a "ego" handicap.

When members don't post, I have to spend much more time reviewing what effect the unposted score would have had (whether positive or negative). This makes my "volunteer" job as handicap chairman much more difficult. Please POST your scores, with the required "adjustments".

The next tournament will be July 23 and it will be a four club tournament....You will only be allowed to have four total clubs....this includes your putter....Please post any questions or comments here for answering by the tournamnet comittee

Fall MVMGC Away Tournament Finalized

The fall tournament has been finalized. It will be in the Palm Springs area again.

Sept. 16th, Golf Resort at Indian Wells (East Course). 8:00 am shotgun start.
Sept. 17th, Tahquitz Creek (Resort Course) 7:00 am, tee times.

MVMGC Blog Newsletter and Information

I know that It has been forever since I put out a newsletter...This stuff is not as easy as you might think....I think that this new online format will get all of us talking a bit easier about when the next tourmnaments are as well as trying to keep up with a leader board....It is a hell of alot easier and ceaper for this to be our official way to communicate....
